11/26-The
off-season has been a busy one for the Moby Dick Whalers' front
office.
Former
Renegades players Bruce Trevthick, Arnold Martinez, and
Carl Smith signed
one-year contracts with the Big Fish.
Arnold
Martinez, a veteran player can play the infield as well as out
where, with the recent loss of Kris Morrow, Trevthick gives
the Whalers another experienced infielder. Carl Smith got to
know the Big Fish during the San Diego Tournament as a pick
up player.
"Our
number one priority was bringing back our guys, " said
manager Matt Florio, "but that's not going to stop us from
going outside and negotiating with players. If we think it will
improve the ballclub"
