LaBeau, Going, Going...

11/26-Whalers' outfielder Robert LeBeau had a goal of going to the gay games in Sydney Australia. The Cinch Roughriders have given him the chance. Now LeBeau is repaying the favor by letting his agent know that he is interested in playing during the season with the Moby Dick rivals.

LeBeau, an original Whalers, describes his situation as, "70 percent done. My agent is just waiting for a call back. "

Robert Lebeau played his first softball game with the Moby Dick Whalers; his quick reactions found him an early home in Whalers' infield. A surplus of infielders and a sore arm got him in the outfield where he adjusted admirably. His 2001 .586 batting average was second on the team.

"We're sorry to see him go, " said manager Matt Florio, "He's the type of player that keeps a rally alive."
